I am a very LUCKY girl!! I asked many of my blogger friends help spread the word about the reutrn of PRAIRIE STYLE magazine and they have all been so supportive. I am so very gratetful to each of you for your time and kind consideration. THANK YOU!!!
As you all know this is a magazine that is very close to my heart and, fortunately, I see many of you share the beauty and simplicity of prairie style.
I couldn't reach out to everybody directly (due to time constraints) but, if you are so inclined, I would greately appreciate if you could mention the magazine on your blogs. I promised you won't be disappointed. It really is lovely.
I will do several giveaways, (will give 10 copies to be exact) when it comes out in May. Just let me know you posted about the issue by leaving a comment on my blog, even if it's just to post this photo of the cover with the newsstands release date (May 1) and you will automatically be entered to win.
Thank you to all for having been such faithful friends of CHEZ FIFI over the past several years, which has been visited over TWO AND A HALF MILLION times YEAH!! LOVE YA ALL!!!
Here is the cover you can post
On a much different note
All of you animal lovers will relate.
You know I had 3 kitties, Lily, Lucy and Daisy.
Lily was 18 and she passed away last fall. I was very sad but it didn't come as a surprise.
Then Lucy (who was 17) and Daisy, who was only 8, died withing a week of each other 2 weeks ago. Lucy's little heart stopped and I was, again, very very very sad.
Daisy stopped eating after Lucy's passing and I thought she was grieving the loss of her friend but after 3 days I took her to the vet only to find out she had tumors (cancer) in her throat and tummy. Its was advanced and rampant. She is gone too.
It was so unexpected and so quick. My house feels very empty and so does my heart. I can't believe they are all gone.
Now, I know everybody is telling me to get more kitties, and I will, but not until after I come back from shoots that start very soon (New England, Colorado, Texas, California, New Mexico...) and will go on until November. I want to have a couple of months for the new kitties to have a chance to get used to me and the house before taking off on shoots. But I will have more rescued pets for sure. I wish I could have a dog too but for that I have to wait untill I no longer travel.
It's easy to find someone to look after my cats when I travel(and I have the best "kitty nanny" one could wish for) but a doggy requires a lot more and I would not want to have to board him/her. So I will wait.
If you have lost a beloved pet you know what a big empty space it leaves in your heart but you never forget them. They stay with you forever. You know how it is.....
It has already been 2 months since I last posted!! It's not that I didn't want but I was away on shoots in Texas and Louisiana (yes, in the ice storm...) as well as working on:
Romantic Country (new issue will be out in a couple of weeks), French Country Style (out in April),
AND, by popular demand (THANK YOU!!), the much-awaited return of
So, let me start with Prairie Style. This new issue comes to you via the publishers of Country Sampler. It will be on the newsstands
It boasts a new large format with 144 beautifully photographed pages, and features an array of homes from coast to coast and beyond, people, places, food and much more.
Can't give too much of the contents away but a little preview will give you a sense of what's inside.
I am more than excited about it and I hope you will be too!
LET ME KNOW!

Now that you have had a chance to get an idea of the many amazing homes and stories in the upcoming
you can, if you are so inclined, pre-order the issue.
Just print and mail the page below to the address on the form
When the prior issue went on the newsstands it was snatched in a flash. And judging by the flood of emails I received asking for this issue it will be gone just as quickly. You can wait until it hits the newsstands if you prefer but if you want to make sure to get it pre-ordering is the way to go.
I do want to thank you, each and everyone of you, for taking the time to write to let me know how much you loved the first issue, for your patience waiting for this second one, and for your love and support.
You will never know how much it means to me and how lovely it is to know that people actually care and appreciate one's work and passion.
